• Earlier this summer, Adrien Chaton (Energy and Processes program, 2016) was giving an account of his academic and professional path to his School of origin, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie of Rennes (ENSCR), which led him to work abroad for one year, in Australia and Congo, so as to enrich his professional experience before joining IFP School.

Jean-Claude Heidmann

JC HeidmannDirector of the Center for Exploration-Production

Jean-Claude Heidmann graduated in 1980 with a Master in Geology and Earth Sciences from the Université Paris-Sud (Paris XI). In 1982, he was awarded an IFP School engineering degree.

He began his career at Total as a geologist. He subsequently held various positions of responsibility in Exploration and then in New Ventures in China, the United Kingdom, Syria, Angola, the United States, Indonesia and France.

In 2004, he was appointed Manager of Global New Ventures Identification in France before becoming Vice-President New Ventures Identification for Total E&P New Ventures in Houston. In 2010, he was appointed R&D Business Development Manager for Total E&P.

Jean-Claude Heidmann joined IFP School in 2013 as Director of the Center for Exploration-Production. In this capacity he is responsible for all the IFP School programs pertaining to the upstream oil and gas sector.
