Master’s degree in Chemistry

The rapid development of new energy technologies (NET) requires new knowledge in many fields. In particular, the processing of biomass for use as an alternative fuel source is an issue in which IFP Energies nouvelles is actively involved. The education of young professionals who will play an active role in this challenge is the objective of the Master's degree in Chemistry, "Catalysis and Processes" program. This degree is proposed in collaboration with the "École Centrale de Lille" and the "École de Chimie de Lille", and is awarded by the "Université de Lille 1".

The degree aims to give students a solid theoretical knowledge together with practical know-how in the fields of catalysis, kinetics and processes. Even though it focuses mainly on refining and petrochemical applications, the skills and knowledge gained can also be applied to the development of processes for biomass treatment. The course prepares students to be rapidly operational in an industrial research team, enabling many of them to continue their studies with a Ph.D. thesis.

Applications are to be made with University Lille 1.
