Held on September 17 at IFP School, the IFPEN Energy and Environmental Transition Day gave students in the Class of 2027 the opportunity to explore the major challenges of the energy and environmental transition, as well as the research conducted by IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN).
This day, rich in new insights, provided students with an opportunity to better understand the innovations and research contributing to the development of tomorrow’s energy solutions. It also highlighted the close ties between IFPEN’s R&I activities and the School.
As part of the event, Pierre-Franck Chevet, Chairman and CEO of IFPEN, addressed the new students and introduced them to the institute, the current energy landscape, and the solutions being developed to address the challenges of the energy transition.
The students then participated in workshops led by IFPEN engineers and researchers to explore a variety of topics in greater depth: the role of digital technology in the energy transition, alternative fuels, raw materials in the energy transition, offshore wind power, CO₂ capture and storage, gas monitoring, electrical resistivity tomography, and a tour of test benches.
