On September 1, IFP School welcomed the students of the Class of 2027 to its Specialized Engineering and Advanced-master degree: Welcome address by Pascal Longuemare, Dean of IFP School; a meeting with the directors of the training centers; a presentation of the IT and logistics services offered by the SMILE team; educational innovation initiatives from the Lab e·nov™, the School’s digital culture laboratory; and the social services department.
To kick off this new academic year with energy, the students were then invited to a breakfast. They then headed to their respective training centers to meet their academic advisors and classmates.
Orientation Week
The orientation for new students continued throughout the week. The day after classes began, students took part in an orientation tour of the Rueil-Malmaison campus, designed to introduce them to the staff, various student organizations (Student Council, IFP School Alumni Association, Sports Association, etc.), and partners (professional associations SPE and EVOLEN) who will support them throughout their studies.
This second day concluded with a welcome cocktail reception at the Maison de l’Europe, hosted by the City of Rueil-Malmaison. Philippe Trotin, Deputy Mayor in charge of Tourism, along with the City Council members in attendance, took the opportunity to highlight the strong ties forged between the City, the School, and its students.
To wrap up their orientation week, the students explored the streets of Rueil-Malmaison during a treasure hunt organized by the Tourist Office. They then headed to the Domaine de Vert-Mont for a meal before taking part in sports challenges and team activities.
At the end of the day, the top three teams were awarded prizes embodying the School’s values: Openness, Solidarity, and Responsibility.
