Almost all students are supported by a company or an institution that contributes to their living expenses during the academic period and as well as their tuition.
There are three main ways of studying at IFP School for young graduates: apprenticeship, sandwich-course scholarship or scholarships via Fondation Tuck.
Working professionals can benefit from a secondment from their company.
The different program schedules
Apprenticeship contracts, sandwich-course scolarships and scolarships apply to young applicants who graduate less than a year before the IFP School admissions boards convene. In this case, tuition is covered in part by French public-sector funds and in part by corporate contributions. Students pay no fees.
-
Apprenticeship: students alternate training at IFP School and periods in a company. During their apprenticeship, students are a company employee with a fixed-term employment contract and receive a monthly salary recommended to be equivalent to the amount of the scholarship given to supported students. This option is only open to persons up to the age of 29. For practical reasons related to visas, it mainly concerns citizen of the European area. In order to benefit from this type of support, non-nationals from European area must be in France the year preceding the start of the academic year at IFP School.
-
Sandwich-course scolarships and scolarships: students take classes at IFP School either continuously for an academic year followed by an internship in a company (corporate donor), or alternating periods at IFP School and practical training work in the partner company. They receive a monthly allowance to cover living expenses: a €1,400 scolarship (recommended amount) in the name of the company by a foundation for the entire study period, an allowance paid by the company during the internship.
- There are other types of scolarships such as those from ministries, foundations and other institutions, as well as merit scholarships awarded each year by the Fondation Tuck.
Applications for admission to IFP School and for financial support must be made concurrently. The search for financial support is a process that takes time (unsolicited requests made to companies, interviews with HR managers and operational staff, etc.).
We therefore recommend that students begin their search as soon as possible, from submission of admission application. Conversely, students should not wait until they have secured upport before filing their application.
IFP School can help with the quest for support after assessing student application.
Specific situation for professionals
- Professionals who have an employment contract with a company can pursue their studies at IFP School as part of a continuing training degree program. In this case, the company must pay the tuition in full which amount is currently €30,000 (standard rate applying to all programs except those for a double degree).
- Professionals can also choose self-funding for their studies.
