2025 Energy Transition Day

On September 11, IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) and IFP School organized the 18th Energy Transition Day.

Dedicated to the School's students, this event allows them to discover the research and innovation projects related to energy transition carried out at IFPEN.

Florence Delprat-Jannaud, Scientific Director at IFPEN, opened the event and provided an overview of the energy landscape. She highlighted the challenges posed by the energy transition and presented the solutions developed by IFPEN. Her speech was followed by a question-and-answer session with the students.

The students then took part in various workshops led by IFP School professors and IFPEN researchers on the following topics, depending on their program of study:

  • Tour of IFPEN's engine test benches
  • Offshore wind power: research activities and proposed solutions (Philippe Gilbert)
  • Financing start-ups in the energy transition (Laurent Forti)
  • Technical, economic, and market intelligence analyses (Pascal Poupet)
  • Circular economy: rare metals and available resources (Emmanuel Hache)
  • Offshore wind energy (Emmanuel Persent)
  • Natural hydrogen (Olivier Sissman)
  • Critical metals for energy transition (Arnaud Torres)
  • En-ROADSⒸ workshop: COP simulation (Climate Interactive).

A day rich in openness and knowledge sharing!
