Ouafae El Ganaoui-Mourlan's HDR defense

On December 12, Ouafae El Ganaoui-Mourlan, Supervisor of the Automotive Electrification and Propulsion (EPA) program and Co-holder of the ECAV Chair at IFP School, successfully defended her HDR (Habilitation à diriger des recherches, or accreditation to supervise research) on the Rueil-Malmaison campus.

Her presentation, “Study of powertrains: Transition to sustainable and smart mobility through electrification, connectivity, and cooperative eco-driving,” highlighted innovative work combining modeling, optimization, multi-scale experimentation, and industrial transfer.

Her research focuses on three major areas:

  • the electrification of powertrains,

  • the cooperative optimization of transportation systems,

  • and the integration of V2X technologies for smart energy management.

The jury was composed of Ms. Christine ROUSSELLE, Professor at Polytech Orleans, Mr. Michel BASSET, Professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, Mr. Eric BIDEAUX, Professor at INSA-Lyon, Ms. Delphine RIU, Professor at INP-Grenoble, Mr. Benoît FIORINA, Professor at Paris-Saclay University, Dr. Olivier ORFILA from VEDECOM, and Mr. Marc PETIT, Professor at Paris-Saclay University.

Mr. Pierre DURET, CEO of DI2S and Affiliate Professor at IFP School, was also present as a guest.

Congratulations to Ouafae on this wonderful distinction in her scientific career!
