Three IFP School teams in the final of the 2025 SIA Student Challenge

SIA's 2025 Student Challenge

Three teams from the Energy and Powertrains program are through to the final of the Société des Ingénieurs de l'Automobile (SIA) Student Challenge, to be held on June 12, 2025 in Port Marly as part of the Annual International Powertrain Congress.

Teams will present their final-year projects in the form of a poster to a panel of experts:

Team 1: Eduardo Rombolà, Gautier Fontaine, Simon Garrigues
Coached by Florian Chiappini (Mann+Hummel)  
Subject: Study of the viability of PHEVs (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles) Long Range in the European market

Team 2: Ferréol de Baudus, Mathis Garnier, Loïc Save de Beaurecueil
Coached by Sébastien Berthebaud and Sylvain Lanneau (Vectura System)  
Subject: Optimization of a Work Vessel Powertrain

Team 3: Arthur Grandon, Corentin Lepez, Axel Sanson
Coached by Stéphane Richard (Vision Technology)
Subject: Conversion of a versatile single-cylinder gasoline engine to Hydrogen

This year's competition brings together students from France's leading engineering schools to tackle major challenges such as alternative powertrains, electrification, hydrogen, eco-design and energy modeling.
