Claude Laffont teaches Seismic interpretation for the Georesources and energy Center. Her courses are based on real case datasets and require the use of technical software. She also teaches Geology and Mapping.

As an IFP School faculty member, she has supervised field training courses, has taken part in many e-learning projects and in the creation of various teaching aids such as the e-learning on “surface and subsurface mapping”.

She is co-author of papers in the fields of well-logging and signal processing.

Claude has devoted her entire career to IFP School, which she joined in 1981. After a first mission in the technical, scientific and teaching resources hub, she supervised teaching units at the Georesources and energy Center. She taught Geophysics in the “Integrated Reservoir Management” program in partnership with the University of Delft. As a teacher in General, Sedimentary and Petroleum Geology and Seismic interpretation, she has lectured in other higher education and continuing education institutions (ENSTA, Mines Saint-Étienne, IST of Paris VI, IFP Training, IFP School).

Claude has a Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences from the Université de Dijon. She holds a Master's degree in Fundamental and Applied Geology from the Université de Paris VI.
