Emmanuel Persent joined IFP School in March 2025 as Supervisor of the Specialized Engineering program in Offshore Wind Project Development. He has over 20 years' experience in the offshore oil and wind sectors. Emmanuel has spent most of his career at IFPEN. After conducting R&I work in mechanical systems sizing for the oil & gas, refining and new energies sectors, Emmanuel moved to project management in 2009. In particular, he steered the development project for the new generation of Clip-Riser™ (technology used in offshore drilling) in collaboration with NOV.

Keen to move into new energies, in 2021 Emmanuel took responsibility for the DeepLines Wind™ project, a reference software for wind turbine design marketed by Principia and used extensively at lFPEN in numerous projects, including Provence Grand Large project in partnership with SBM Offshore. In a context of strong international exposure (15 countries, around 100 organizations), Emmanuel took on the roles of co-operating agent and work-package leader for the new IEA Wind task on floating wind farms in 2022.

Emmanuel is a graduate engineer from École Centrale de Nantes. He specializes in mechanical engineering and structural design.
