El Hadj Miliani earned a Ph.D. in Power Electronics through a collaboration between Alstom Power and the University of Franche-Comté in 2005. His doctoral research focused on the design and control of a matrix converter intended to optimize an electrical power generation system, contributing to the advancement of innovative energy conversion and management solutions.

 

Following this academic career, he gained solid industrial experience. At Valeo, El Hadj worked as a Research Engineer in vehicle electrification, playing a key role in the development of core technologies for electric mobility. He then joined Bombardier Transportation, where he coordinated a team specializing in electric powertrains, further strengthening his expertise in systems applied to rail transportation.

 

He continued his career at IFP Energies nouvelles, where he led and coordinated various research and development projects focused on vehicle electrification and onboard energy management, actively contributing to the growth of electric mobility technologies at IFPEN.

 

In 2017, he joined IFP School as a Lecturer-Researcher and Coordinator of the teaching units focused on electrified systems. His role involved developing educational content tailored to the challenges of the energy transition and supervising the training of engineers specializing in these fields.

 

In 2019, he obtained a qualification to supervise doctoral research (HDR) focused on power electronics systems for electrical energy production and conversion chains, which enabled him to strengthen his role as a scientific and academic advisor.

 

El Hadj is currently supervising the specialized engineering program in Electricity Management and Digital. At the same time, he continues his research in the field of electrical and digital systems applied to energy management, thereby helping to prepare future generations of engineers for global technological and energy challenges.
