Finalists of the Minus CO2 Student Challenge

Five students from IFP School's 2020 class are going to the final competition of the global Minus CO2 Student Challenge, organized by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).

Johana Nevito Páez (PGS*, Colombia), Fernanda Campos Furtado* (PGS, Brazil), Fatin Farzana Binte Miswan (PGS, Singapore), Carla Oliveira dos Santos (RGE**, Brazil) and Augusto Correnti (RGE, Argentina) analyzed subsurface data from the Norne oil field provided by Equinor and designed an economically viable CO2-neutral field development plan.

During lockdown, the team worked on paper and video. Its work was reviewed in two stages by the jury, who evaluated the team based on their creativity and technical quality.

The final competition will be held on November 9th, 2020.

We wish good luck to the team, which has already made the School proud.
