
Axel Plasse, a graduate of IFP School (MOT 1993), will join Alpine on September 1, 2025, as Director of Hypertech (Viry-Châtillon site). He replaces Bruno Famin, who is becoming Director of Motorsport.
In his new role, Mr. Plasse intends to accelerate the transformation of the Viry-Châtillon site. He also aims to achieve podium finishes in motorsports and bring unique innovative assets to Alpine and the Renault Group.
Mr. Plasse joined Renault Sport F1 in 1993 as a test bench engineer and contributed to the 2005 constructors' title with the RS25 V10 engine. In 2017, he led the engine and gearbox development strategy for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. In 2021, he joined Valeo and serves as Director of R&D and Product Marketing for the Power Mechanical division.
Mr. Plasse is a regular lecturer in IFP School's Powertrain Engineering program. He will be participating in the upcoming launch of the academic year and will be teaching courses on September 3.
