Manoelle Lepoutre, a graduate of IFP School (GOL 1981), has just been elected President of the French Academy of Technologies. She will take up her duties in January 2026, succeeding Patrick Pélata.

With a strong international career, Ms. Lepoutre has led research projects and operations in France, the Netherlands, Norway, and the United States. In 2009, she joined TotalEnergies to lead R&D in Exploration & Production, before taking on management positions in transformation, particularly in sustainable development and engagement with civil society. For more than 10 years, she has served on the boards of directors of companies, associations, and scientific organizations such as BRGM.

In her new role, Ms. Lepoutre will pursue the Academy of Technologies' ambition: to inform the design, financing, and deployment of technologies in the public interest by making recommendations that guarantee freedom of choice.

The entire IFP School team extends its sincere congratulations to her on this new appointment and wishes her every success in her new role.
