A team of six students from the IFP School Class of 2025 took third place in the Petrobowl championship, which took place during the Annual Conference of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), held October 20-22 in Houston, USA.
Petrobowl is a student challenge organized by the SPE. Student chapters from around the world participate each year by answering a rapid-fire quiz covering a wide range of topics related to the oil and gas industry.
The IFP School team was made up of students from the Subsurface Technologies for Sustainable Energies and Petroleum Engineering and Project Development Specialized Engineering programs: Kevin Lukaaga (PEPD), Ahmed Mokhtar (STSE), Babafemi Origbemisoye (STSE), Favour Oseigbovo (STSE), Mateo Romero (PEPD) and Bouchra Yazbeck (PEPD).
IFP School competed against 31 teams from around the world and came in third behind the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
