Biography of Sabine Fuss

Member of the Scientific Council of the CarMa Chair

Sabine Fuss leads the Sustainable Resource Management and Global Change working group at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change in Berlin.

Together with her colleagues, she conducted a three-part systemic review on carbon dioxide removal technologies.

From 2016 to 2018, she was lead author of the chapter of CO2 removal technologies of the Special Report on 1,5°C temperatures written by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Sabine teaches sustainable resource management and global warming at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In addition, she leads a research initiative on CO2 removal technologies as part of the Global Carbon Project.

Sabine has a Master's degree in international economics and a PhD on sustainable development in the energy sector from the University of Maastricht.
