IFP School student teams have won 1st and 2nd places at the SIA Congress Student Challenge, which concluded at the SIA Power Train & Electronics annual conference, organized by the Société des ingénieurs de l'automobile (SIA).
The challenge which ended on June 13 in Marly-le-roi (near Paris), offered the following challenge: "Which powertrain for an ultra-light vehicle?"
Nine teams from ENSTA Bretagne, Polytech Orléans and IFP School participated in the first edition of this challenge. Two IFP School teams stood on the podium, ahead of a team from Polytech Orleans:
- 1st prize for the poster entitled "Hybrid powertain and innovative transmission for an ultra-light vehicle" of the team following the Energy and Powertrains program, supervised by Stéphane Venturi and Pierre Duret. Congratulations to Anas Amaliki, Vincent Maître, Antoine Terrier, Antoine Volpi !
- 2nd prize for the poster entitled "Design of a flexible hybrid powertrain using a 48 V-battery and a supercapacitor for ultra-light urban vehicles" by students of the Powertrain Engineering program, supervised by Ouafaé El Ganaoui Mourlan and El Hadj Miliani. Congratulations to Daniel Carlos Da Silva, Matthieu Couillandeau, Charlie Gonod, Guillaume Miller!
The Student Challenge was followed by a forum dedicated to promoting careers for young engineers in the automotive industry.
