Class Gift: a charity race to help new IFP School students

The traditional Class Gift has made a comeback at IFP School during this year’s Energy Games, the School's traditional sports challenge organized by the Student Office (Bureau des Élèves, BDE), on June 1st at the Château de Vert-Mont.

A fundraising campaign was launched amongst the graduating Class of 2023 to raise money for an “Excellence Scholarship”. This scholarship will enable a student, who doesn’t have any industrial backing, to join the School next September. The charity initiative took the form of a “Color Run”, a race through clouds of multi-colored powder.

"The Class Gift is a testament to the sense of collectiveness and community spirit at IFP School and is an echo of one of the School's core values: solidarity," notes Anne Boisjot, President of the BDE and a student in the Energy and Markets program.

"Besides being a means of collecting donations, it's above all an opportunity to build a bond with future students. With this race, we wanted to round off the afternoon's events in a fun a joyful way but also allow this year’s students to reiterate their attachment to the School and show their spirit of inter-class solidarity," she explains.

"This upsurge of solidarity was timed to coincide with the Admission Boards of the next intake of students. As the saying goes: little by little, a little becomes a lot. In that respect, we're proud to have been able to contribute, however modestly, to the Alumni Fund," concludes Anne.

The money raised on June 1st will contribute to the funds collected in recent months thanks to the generosity of IFP School alumni. If you too would like to contribute to the funding of an Excellence Scholarship, the Fondation Tuck's secure platform is open for donations throughout the year.

IFP School would like to thank its student donors and the BDE's Events Committee, who worked hard to make the day a success and live up to the School's values of Openness, Responsibility and Solidarity.
