Editorial

Dear alumni,

Another academic year is drawing to a close, and this is the last newsletter before a well-deserved summer break.

This newsletter is special for me, as it's my very last editorial. I'm delighted to be handing over the reins of your School to Pascal Longuemare, whom some of you already know well as he is the current Director of IFP School's Powertrains and Sustainable Mobility Center. You'll find out more about him in the September issue of the newsletter, which shall be partly dedicated to him.

I would like to thank you most sincerely, because as I have said time and time again, you are our best ambassadors, and your School needs you to perpetuate its excellence.

2022-2023 has been a great year. The vast majority of our students will be off to join their companies in a few days' time.

The Class of 2024 has been recruited, with a slightly higher number of applications than last year; on September 4, we should be welcoming an intake roughly equivalent to that of Class 2023. Once again, our corporate partners, of all sizes and from all sectors, have risen to the occasion and will provide financial support for our students and their training. I know that I can count on you to continue spreading the good word about the School and foster vocations. More and more of you are following us on social networks, liking, commenting and sharing our news. Many thanks to all of you!

Our priorities continue to include obtaining the SD&SR label and modernizing the School by implementing innovative teaching methods. That's why, in this issue, we've chosen to present:

  • Perrine Babin, who has just been appointed as the new SD&SR Label Coordinator and tells us about her role and missions at the School;
  • The latest activities of Lab e·nov™, IFP School's digital cultures laboratory, created in 2020 and going from strength to strength.

Lastly, I was very pleased to see that one of the School's three values, solidarity (the two others being openness and responsibility), was particularly highlighted during the Energy Games, thanks to a "Color Run" organized by the Student Office (Bureau des élèves - BDE). The run’s aim was to raise funds for an Excellence Scholarship that will be awarded to a student joining IFP School at the start of the next academic year. Once again, I congratulate them on this wonderful initiative.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue, have a good vacation and above all, I wish you all the best for the future.
