Dear alumni and subscribers to our newsletter,
To begin, I’d like to share a few updates regarding the start of the academic year for the Class of 2026, which took place on September 1.
We welcomed nearly 450 new students across our 11 Specialized Engineering programs, 4 Master’s programs, 3 Advanced-Master degree – Mastère Spécialisé programs, and the Executive Master’s.
The start of the year was marked by the launch of several new specializations: Subsurface Technologies for Sustainable Energies (replacing the Petroleum Geosciences and Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering programs), Offshore Wind Project Development, Electricity Management and Digital, Powertrain Engineering (now exclusively dedicated to electric powertrains) and Management de l’énergie et du carbone dans l’entreprise.
For this fall edition of our newsletter, we have chosen to highlight the brand-new Advanced-Master degree – Mastère Spécialisé in “Management de l’énergie et du carbone dans l’entreprise” (Energy and Carbon Management in Companies; taught in French), which is designed both for recent graduates and for professionals looking to reorient their careers.
We also wanted to look back at a very special event organized on IFPEN premises in July: welcoming two of our alumni, Marc Guillemaud (ENEP 2012) and Augustin Roulleaux Dugage (PRO 2012), founders of the start-up FacteurDix for the launch of their LINE demonstrator.
Finally, we are shining a spotlight on an essential administrative position at the School: that of the Academic Assistant, at the heart of the day-to-day running of our programs. You’ll discover this role through the experiences of Gladys and Virginie.
