Dear all,
As the year draws to a close, I’m pleased to share with you some key highlights that reflect the continued dynamism of our School:
✅ A positive first assessment for the CarMa Research and Teaching Chair
Launched in 2019, the Chair continues to pursue its core mission: bringing academic research and industry needs closer together around the key challenges of decarbonization. Early results are highly encouraging; a review seminar was recently held at IFP School. Discover more in the dedicated article.
✅ A new MOOC to better understand life-cycle assessment
We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new MOOC dedicated to life-cycle assessment (LCA), developed in partnership with Axens and engineer-researchers from IFP Energies nouvelles. This valuable resource is designed to help companies, students, and anyone interested gain a solid understanding of these essential tools.
✅ A half-day event to discover our programs and careers in the field of sustainable mobility
At the end of November, we welcomed engineering students interested in the challenges of sustainable mobility for a half-day immersive event.
The program included presentations of our academic tracks, discussions with current students and alumni, thematic workshops, and a behind-the-scenes look at the test benches at IFPEN. A great way to launch our application campaign for the September 2026 intake.
✅Updates from the School and our alumni appointments
At the end of this newsletter, you will also find a selection of the School’s latest news, along with recent alumni appointments. These provide inspiring examples of the commitment, diversity, and achievements that characterize our community.
On behalf of IFP School, I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season which is warm, restorative, and full of joy. We look forward to seeing you again in 2026 to continue building our projects and ambitions together!
Warm regards,
Pascal LONGUEMARE, PhD
